In 2022, National Chung Hsing University received support from the Ministry of Education to establish a post-bachelor's medical program and a medical school, becoming the only national research-oriented comprehensive university with a medical school in central Taiwan. The university has long been dedicated to cultivating diverse high-level talents for the nation. In addition to the establishment of the post-bachelor's medical program to actively train medical personnel for underserved rural areas, the university also fulfills its social responsibility by actively aligning with national policies and public needs. In September 2023, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the "Institute of Clinical Medicine," which will enroll students for the first time in November 2023, and will officially begin operations on August 1, 2024.
